These Term’s and Conditions are not meant to be in any way constraining but merely in place to protect the “Official Google News Source Status” of http://clicknews.org.
Revenue Share Details
I’ll get right down to the most important and interesting part of being a Contributing Writer.
http://clicknews.org operates on a 75/25 advertising revenue split in favour of the contributing writers.
(that means as a contributing writer you get a 75% share of the advertising revenue from your News Stories)
Specifically this applies to the 3 google ad spaces shown with each news story.
- The in post 468×60 text block.
- The 300×250 image block placed to the immediate right of each news item
- The 300×250 text block placed to the immediate right of each news item
The revenue share is conditional on you entering a valid google AdSense publisher id in the dashboard of your account the revenue split is controlled by a script that displays google AdSense blocks (noted above) with your publisher id for 75% of the time your news story is viewed.
The Owners of Clicknews.org reserve the right to accept paid advertising on any other part of the website including but not limited to in text advertising on all content and Paid Press Release submission. With that in mind no contributing writer may submit to the Press Release Category.
Content Submission
The next most important part will be the type of content you may submit.
Click News is a Google News Source and as such must meet certain criteria to maintain that status and as such all submissions will be reviewed by our editorial team before publication.
Some Guideline Points to Help in Your Writing
- You are writing news reports now remember the basics Who,What,Where,When and How
- Remember to credit quotes appropriately
- Minimum of 150 words
- Spend time on your Headline and Research what people are looking for to get maximum exposure
- Your story’s must be written in a news style you are not writing “how to’s” for online article directories now
- If there isn’t a category that fits you news story and we will create one (within reason)
- No adult orientated or inappropriate material will ever be published on clicknews.org (editors decision is final on this)
- No MLM, make money online themed post’s or any post’s about illegel online or offline activities except when reporting in a third person News report manner.
We will aim to review and publish your news story’s within 24hr’s however we are human and sometimes it may take longer.
Initially you will not be able to include any external links any and all income derived from writing for Click News as a contributor will be from the Google AdSense Revenue Split mentioned above.
Anyone found editing their News Stories after publication to include links will lose their account immediately without warning.
However we have decided that as an incentive and reward for consistent writers we will award this privilege on the following conditions
- You must submit and have published 50 News Stories to qualify
- Upon qualification you must maintain an average of 25 News Story’s per month to remain qualified
- Once qualified you may include one external link at the end of your story. The link can be anchor text but must only link to a website that you own and control. (This means no direct affiliate links)
- Any decision regarding eligibility is the sole discretion of the editorial team of clicknews.org
We don’t want to tie you up with loads of terms so we have just covered the basics so that we are all on the same page. After all we want you to earn some money from your writing so go ahead and report as much as you like.
In the near future we will have a private forum where we will have advice on writing money making news stories and also as a kind of journo tea room where you can all hang out and brag or just generally chat.
