RIM Introducing Blackpad, Tablet Wars Intensify for iPad and Apple

BlackPad-RIM
The iPad has gained a lot of popularity with its release, but that’s not all its getting. With the strong success of the iPad, competitors are entering the fray one by one, and the latest competitor is Blackberry Maker, Research in Motion.
According to reports, RIM will be launching its own BlackPad, a strong competitor to the iPad, in November. The new tablet is offering WiFi and Bluetooth capabilities, along with the same dimensions as the iPad.
However, according to Robert W Baird & Co analyst, William Power, “With the success of the iPad, RIM faces an uphill battle. RIM really has yet to demonstrate that it can roll out touchscreen technology to match the leaders in the space, most noticeably Apple.”
Apart from the news spreading concerning the iPad, RIM is said to be unveiling its new BlackBerry 9800, which has been the subject of much discussion as of late, at a press even in New York next week.
