Though the news is not new that Microsoft is planning to introduce a unique tablet of its own and enter the fray of recent competitors that are attempting to go against the iPad, the results of the product are the subject of much debate.

Although it seems that CEO Steve Ballmer is looking forward to the new release, the use of Windows 7 as the operating system for the tablets is coming under much fire. As mentioned often the furious debate, the Windows 7 OS was not specifically designed for use on tablets, and there are various issues such as power consumption.

Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer was quoted as saying that the Apple iPads have sold “certainly more than I’d like them to have sold,” indicating one of the reasons for the expected strong entry into the area of tablet warefare. Recent reviews have shown that many are expecting the Microsoft tablets to fail, should they still insist on continuing with the Windows 7 OS.
