Google Android Outsells iPhone? Smartphone Tide Turning
According to the Nielsen company in a recent blog post, “While the iPhone has been the headline grabber over the last few years in the smartphone market, Google’s Android OS has shown the most significant expansion in market share among current subscribers.”
Indeed, it has been shown by the company that the iPhone was being outdone by the Android earlier this year, making up for 4% more sales of the smartphone market than Apple during the first six months of this year.
Though Apple’s iPhone 4 launch has been its most successful so far, there have been many recent problems and complaints on the smartphone by customers over various issues. The Blackberry is still leading the market in the US though, and surveys into consumer loyalty were revealed.
It was shown that Blackberry users were the least loyal in terms of customer loyalty, whereas iPhone users were much more loyal. Data from Nielsen has also shown a trend of growing popularity in the use of smartphones in the US. Smartphones are rapidly overtaking the use of normal mobile phones.
