Kyle Massey – New Celebrity of ‘Dancing With The Stars’ Revealed!

The wait is over and at long last the new celebrity dancers at the Dancing With The Stars have been revealed.

The list is quite surprising and there are lots of unexpected entries for the show. For instance David Hasselhoff and the comedian Mike “The Situation” were already rumoured to be in the mix, but Margaret Cho was definitely not expected to be joining the dancers but it proved a pleasant surprise when her name popped up!

Among the others there is a very cool celebrity – Kyle Massey.

We all know that the rapper can “spit a few lyrics” but what will his dancing skills be like? Guess we are going to find out!

The rapper is going to need a lot of practice and training if he is looking to compete with the rest of the Dancing With The Stars Dancers”

This will certainly be interesting to watch!

November 16th is the due date for release of Kanye West’s new album. Somehow Kanye doesn’t want his fans to wait that long to hear new stuff from him and his associate artists.

Kanye announced his intentions of releasing a new song from his upcoming album, every Friday until Christmas. This announcement came on Twitter.

He tweeted, “I’m calling it good Fridays. Yall know every Friday yall gone have a new joint from our family. We look at the game completely different now.”

Kanye says, these good Friday releases may be a new track from Kanye West or it “it may be a new Jay song, etc.” he is currently working on a large number of tracks of other artists that include Mos Def, Pharrel, Swizz Beats and Raekwon. Kanye has just completed a remix of of Justin Bieber’s “Runaway Love” featuring the former Wu Tang Clan member.

Enquiring if he can put up with the tempo?  Kanye tweets about that too, “Swizz looked at me the other night and said man are you getting sleep and I told him I can’t sleep… My people need this new music.”

Kanye West has become very fond of Twitter. He didn’t join Twitter too long ago and he has over 780,000 followers so far.

This is not even a fifth of the number Lady Gaga, Queen of Twitter, who has 5,756,297 to date and rising.  She surpassed Britney Spears, who held the title before her. Lady Gaga made a special video for her fans to thank them for their support.

In her video, Lady Gaga says, “This is Lady Gaga, queen of Twitter. Wanted to thank all of my beautiful little monsters for following me. Thank you for beginning my reign as Twitter queen. May you always have soft cuticles while tweeting. May you never have carpal tunnel. I vow to always tweet and tweet again.”

Lindsay Sloane has revealed that she loved working on ‘The Other Guys’ as it meant that she could spend time and hang out with Will Ferrell.

The actress teamed up with the funny man and also other top celebs such as Steve Coogan and Mark Wahlberg in the hit action comedy ‘The Other Guys’ and has admitted that the project was “A dream come true!”.

She said: “I saw Will and I saw Mark Wahlberg on the script and so the two of them together, and Adam McKay – I love ‘Step Brothers’, I’ve loved every movie they made, so this was like, ‘Done! All I wanna do is be in the movie.’

Although his co-stars are better known for being comedians, Lindsay believes that people going to the movies will be impressed with the way Mark can make people laugh.

She said: “I think Mark Wahlberg is really, really funny. I think he’s gonna surprise people by how funny he is because I know he did ‘I Heart Huckabees’ and you’ve seen him be funny but this is like, you really get to see him”.

Last night saw the final of Britain’s Got Talent aired live on ITV in the UK. The winner’s, decided by a public phone in vote, were Spelbound an acrobatic troupe from Ashford in Kent.

The troupe line is Adam McAssey 20, Adam Buckingham 21, Alex Uttley 24, Jonathan Stranks 15, Douglas Fordyce 19, Edward Upcott 18, Nicholas Illingworth 24, Katie Axten 17, Leighanne Cowler 18, Lauren Kemp 17, Hollianne Wood 13, Abigail Ralph 15, Amy Mackenzie 12 .

A mixed group of atheletes most of whom have been training in gymnastics since the age of four. Astonishingly whilst contending with their rehearsals for BGT they have also been preparing for a world championship competition this summer.

After their final performance during which one of the troupe was launched some 20 feet through the air over a surprised Amanda Holden’s head. after their performance Amanda tipped them to be an opening act for the 2012 Olympics in London.

The other two acts that made up the top three where Twist and Pulse, a quirky dance double act comprising Glen Murphy, 19, and Ashley Glazebrooke, 18, the tow best friends of only 2 years and placed second by the public vote.

The third act by public vote was Kieran Gaffney, a talented 13-year-old drummer from Kent who made it to the final on his second attempt having failed to meet the cut in last years auditions.

Spelbound take home the £100,000 prize money and a booked slot to appear in the Royal Variety Performance later this year.

Golden Girls actress dies at age 76, Rue McClanahan was best know for her role as Blanche Deveraux in the hit US sitcom.

She died of a stroke at 1 am this morning from a massive stroke. She had previously suffered a stroke last November whilst recovering from  bypass surgery.

Golden Girls became an instant hit in 1985 when it was first aired by NBC. The following year the show was honoured by winning best comedy series at the 1986 Emmy Awards that same year Betty White won the award for leading actress.

Rue McClanahan was also a nominee in 1986 but had to wait until the following year to be award best actress at the 1987 Emmy Awards. The trio of Emmy Award winners was completed the following year when Bea Arthur was honoured at the 1989 Awards.

Her death leaves only Betty White, age 88, as a survinving cast member. Bea Arthur passed away in 2009.

After the shows 7 year run ended Rue went on to appear on various TV shows and eventually returned to her stage roots and played Madame Morrible in the hit Broadway musical “Wicked” in 2005.

After starring in more than 115 films in a career that spans 5 decades and more. Dennis Hopper died on Saturday at 74 years of age.

He died at his home in Venice of complications from prostate cancer.

It was his role in Easy Rider an iconic film classic made in 1969 that marked the beginning of a long acting career. He starred as Billy a pot smoking biker opposite Peter Fonda’s Wyatt. He also co- wrote, with Peter Fonda and Terry Southern, and directed this Cannes award winning movie.

This performance set the tone for his style of acting for decades to come. A fresh against the grain in your face style that is reflected in every movie he has starred in.

During an era where a large percentage of the population where attending love in’s and experimenting with recreational drug’s yet the mainstream Hollywood film industry where still producing wholesome family films. Hopper and Fonda brought a realism to the screen that some say saved Hollywood from itself.

This iconic movie also introduced us to another rising star called Jack Nicholson who played a drunk small town lawyer. Hopper continued to star in great movies such as Speed, True Romance and of course earlier on the critically acclaimed “Apocalypse Now” directed by Francis Ford Coppola.

All in all the movie world will be a poorer place for the loss of Dennis Hopper 1936-2010

Gary Coleman the child star of TV comedy series Different Strokes has died aged 42. He was taken to Utah valley regional medical centre on Wednesday and was in a concious state when he was admited but sliped into a coma shortly after. His wife of 3 years Shannon Price was present when the decision was taken to stop medicating him he died shortly thereafter.

Gary Coleman came into the public eye at the age of 10 in 1978 when Different Strokes first came to the television screens. It was a US Sitcom in which Gary played Arnold Jackson and his catch phrase was “Watchou Talkin’ ’bout Willis” when refering to his screen brother. The show ran for 8 years and gained a lot of popularity, indeed I remember making time to always watch the program as a child.

As with a lot of child stars from the 70′s and 80′s Gary his adult life was plagued with trouble and strife. He saw little of his reported $18 million fortune aquired, which was controlled by his adoptive parents until he was 18 and ended up with only $200,000 after a long court battle.

The actors family issued a statement shortly after his announced death .

He had “difficulties not only with health issues, but also with his personal and public life,” they said in a statement. “At times it may not have been apparent, but he always had fond memories of being an entertainer and appreciates his fans for all their support over the years.”

UIGEA (Unlawful Internet Gambling Enforcement Act) comes into full force on June 1st 2010. What does this mean for online casino’s.

Well by the letter of UIGEA it means that previously vague laws against US citizens using online casino’s will be tightened. Previous to this law US citizens have been able to use online casinos by using third party payment methods. As a rule online casino’s know fully what is going on and where there customers are located.

The new laws mean that it is illegal for them to knowingly accept deposits from US players. The problem will be tracking payments in order to find out if any laws are being broken because most online casinos cover their tracks very well.

It seems that credit cards will be the easiest to track and therefore we will probably see a swing from online casinos accepting credit card deposits to using other methods such as wire transfers and echeck’s.

It does make one think that all this will just drive online casinos underground and therefore throw the country back to a prohibition mindset. It seems like many things wouldn’t this whole situation be better by legalising it and therefore maintaining more control overall. Plus you could tax it that would certainly help the public coffers.

The first date of the North American leg of the bands so called “360 Degree” world tour has been postponed because Bono has had to have emergency back surgery at Munich Hospital.

Bono ,50 and originally from Ireland had been rehearsing for this next leg of the tour due to start in Salt Lake City on June 3rd

Any delay is going to cause a major upset for fans not to mention the company contracted to handle the bands merchandising which is Live Nation who handle all their digital and braning rights as well.

There are worries that salt Lake City may not be the only tour date affected, Paul McGuinness the bands manager as much as said this may be the case.

“It’s unfortunate that we’re inconveniencing fans,” he said in an audio message. “We will make plans to reinstate these dates as soon as possible.

“Obviously, it’s been very disruptive to our crew. We have over 400 people converging on Salt Lake City. Some of those have been told to turn around and told to stay at home until we make our new plan.”

U2 by no small measure are regarded by many as the most successful band in the world, hits such as “Bloody Sunday” and “where The Streets Have No Name” are just 2 examples of their success. During their long career it has been estimated they have sold over 150 million records.

The so called 360 Degree Tour Aptly named because of the stage format where fans surround the performance stage was and perhaps is set to be one of if not their highest grossing tour in history.

The band have several other dates scheduled in June that may potentially be affected by Bono’s untimely visit to hospital. Namely Anaheim on June 6 & 7 and Denver and Oakland on June 12 & 16 respectively.

While The Karate Kid hits the big screens on June 11th this summer, kids get their kicks locally through the Kid’s Karate Club offered at 16 park districts in the western suburbs of Chicagoland. The Kid’s Karate Club also met Jackie Chan in January!

While the greatly anticipated movie, The Karate Kid (remake) starring Jackie Chan & Jaden Smith hits the big screens on June 11th, the karate kids of Chicagoland are gearing up for their kicks this summer!

Earlier this year, the directors of the Kid’s Karate Club got the opportunity to meet Jackie Chan and since than they’ve been motivating their students across the 16 park districts they teach at in the western suburbs of Chicago.

The Kid’s Karate Club has been teaching children ages 4 & up for the past 30+ years.  Their program is specifically designed for children to be exciting and enjoyable so that children can learn in a safe & fun environment.

As the movie premiere draws near, the students are working & playing hard.  They are preparing for an upcoming tournament in May, where all the children are winners!  All earn a trophy & patch for their efforts.  They are also preparing for a segment on WGN national news, working hard to earn their next color belt and anticipating a school get together to see the highly anticipated movie.

The new series of Foyle’s War will be screened from Sunday April the 11th at 8pm and Michael Kitchen is back in the role of Detective Chief Superintendent Christopher Foyle.

With the announcement from ITV that The Bill is to be cancelled there is much speculation about how ITV plan to replace the long running series. It has already been announced that a new six part medical drama Monroe will help fill in the 9pm time slot.

It is also rumoured that Foyle’s War writer Anthony Horowitz is talking to ITV about either taking his successful wartime detective show into peacetime or other high quality drama projects.

Certainly ITV’s Director of Television Peter Fincham seems eager to invest in more even high quality drama such as Foyle’s War “Times change, and so do the tastes of our audience. Whilst The Bill will come to an end in 2010, we will continue to invest more in drama programming than any other commercial broadcaster in the UK and viewers can look forward to a wide range of high quality drama on ITV1.”

This will be music to the ears of Foyle’s War fans as the series was originally cancelled in 2008 by Peter Fincham’s predecessor before a new series was unexpectedly announced last year after the final series became a ratings success with the final episode having 7.3million viewers.

The new series of Foyle’s War will be screened from Sunday April the 11th at 8pm and Michael Kitchen is back in the role of Detective Chief Superintendent Christopher Foyle, and he faces some of his toughest challenges in this new era. He is keen to retire but feels committed to his old job in the face of rising violent crime, conspiracy, racism and betrayal.

The Russian House is the first of 3 new episodes and see’s DCS Foyle stumble upon an international cover up, which, if exposed could bring down the British government, and reveal the War Office’s darkest secret yet.

Anthony Howell returns as the newly promoted DI Paul Milner, Honeysuckle Weeks returns as Sam Stewart and newcomer Max Brown plays her love interest Adam Wainwright. Guest actors include Tim Pigott-Smith, Eleanor Bron, John Sharian, Charlotte Riley, Zoe Telford and David Yelland.

As a petite woman you owe it to yourself to tune out this series, so we are declaring that you are “CANCELLED” ANTM!  Tyra has recoiled and gone back to the tiresome old formula, looking for the typical 5?8? plus amazons, with their unsightly long limbs, anorexic bodies, unshapely features, and even one token full-figured amazon girl.  To make this all even more unbearable, this year’s cast seems to include the nastiest attitudes to date and enough drama to make your head spin.

The stark contrast between America’s Next Top Model Cycle 13 “shorty” edition and this latest Cycle 14 “amazon” edition is seriously disturbing.  After speaking with Sundai Love, we both concur.  ANTM’s blatant discrimination against petite models was without a doubt proven during the new cycle’s premiere episode.  Among other things, Sundai explained that the producers cancelled plans to take the petite models abroad like they usually do each season.  Instead the last cycle’s destination was Hawaii, so there’s no doubt New Zealand is a step up for the show.

Let us not forget Cover Girl Cosmetics did not fulfill their campaign promises to Sundai Love for winning the Walmart challenge on ANTM.  I wonder if Cover girl will renege on their promises this cycle?

At this point we will refrain from outlining all of the discrepancies that will likely continue.  Although, we can’t resist pointing out that the biggest “in our face” moment on the show was when they moved the “shorty” models into a circus style playhouse complete with toys, miniature furniture, and even candy too!

It’s no coincidence that afterwards the “shorty” models were escorted to their first photo shoot recreating childhood pictures featuring the petite models dressed like babies and clowns.  As we’ve been told by Sundai the girls were “mortified and embarrassed, literally holding back the tears.”  There is no doubt the girls were demeaned by this treatment.  Isn’t it nice how the amazon models this season have been put up in a posh New York penthouse?
