Blackberry Email & Web Services To Be Suspended in UAE

Blackberry
There has been concern with the web and email services offered by the Blackberry in the UAE, and it was due to the fact that data from the Blackberry is exported offshore for management by a third-party organization, according to a news agency in UAE.
According to Emirates News Agency, a state-run news agency, “Today’s decision is based on the fact that, in their current form, certain BlackBerry services allow users to act without any legal accountability, causing judicial, social and national security concerns for the UAE.”
The ban for the popular smartphone’s services will be initiated on October 11th, but it has been hoped that something could be done by Blackberry in order to derive a solution to the problem, with the pressure caused by the ban.
More than half a million Blackberry users will have their web services suspended until the security issues are addressed. Research in Motion, the company that produces the Blackberry, has not yet released any further statements.
